Breakthrough Results Published in Frontiers of Medical Technology

The publication of our recent study titled "A prototype photoplethysmography-based cuffless device shows promising results in tracking changes in blood pressure." conducted together with specialists from Oslo University Hospital has been publised in Frontiers of Medical Technology.

Key Highlights:

  • We evaluated the potential of a prototype cuffless blood pressure device developed by Aidee Health AS to track BP changes compared to a reference monitor (Human NIBP/Nexfin)
  • The study tested healthy adults under different conditions (isometric exercise, mental stress, cold pressor test (pain response))
  • Our findings showed a mean difference of 0.3 mmHg for systolic BP, 0.04 mmHg for diastolic BP, and 0.8 mmHg for mean arterial pressure—meeting the ISO 81060-3:2022 Accuracy criteria
  • The results show promise in tracking large BP changes and is an exciting step toward non-invasive, cuffless BP monitoring technologies that could improve real-time health tracking
